Why do you do what you do?

I’m already looking for top marketing tips for 2016 so I’m ready for next year. Out of all the tips I’ve seen, there’s one that tops them all: Start With Why. 

Why do you do what you do?

It sounds like a silly question, but really think about it. What’s your passion? What drives you? What is your purpose?

In 2016, I’m going to start with WHY.

Not WHAT I do – which is marketing.

Not HOW I do it – which is writing content and networking on social media.

But WHY I do it.

If you’ve seen this before, don’t think it’s going away anytime soon. The Golden Circle is only becoming more relevent. There’s an unimaginable amount of content available online, and more and more content is being added everyday. But it’s all NOISE!

So many marketers are focused on the WHAT and the HOW. No one even know’s there should be a WHY.

If you don’t know WHY you’re doing something… DON’T DO IT! It’s the passion behind the work that grabs people. If you’re not passionate about what you’re saying, no one else is! At the end of the day, you’re living and working for yourself. Know and love what you’re doing. Then, when you talk about it… people will listen.
